Steve Barnes 1963 - 2014

It is with great sadness that we have to announce that the VRT's Membership Secretary Steve Barnes died peacefully on 16th May 2014 after battling for some time with cancer. Steve has been a key element in the recent success of the Vulcan Restoration Trust, both as a superb Membership Secretary but also as an engineer and ambassador for the Trust, and as a friend. He faced his illness with typical dignity and courage and was keen to continue performing his role as Membership Secretary despite the enormous degree of physical discomfort he suffered sitting in front of a computer.

Visit The Vulcan Days 2014

We will be holding four Visit the Vulcan Days in 2014, the first taking place on Sunday 27 April.

The other dates are: 15 June (Fathers’ Day), 24 August and 21 September.

Our Visit the Vulcan Days are extremely popular with enthusiasts and the general public alike. Members of the VRT Team will be on hand to give guided tours of Vulcan XL426 and for an additional fee visitors can climb inside the aircraft’s cramped cockpit.

Gates open at 10.00 a.m. on each day with last admission at 4.00 p.m.
