Members will be delighted to know that at long last the Winter issue of Vulcan News is hitting the post office tomorrow and although unlikely to be with you before Christmas, we hope you get it before the New Year!
"I'm thrilled that we've been able to go to full colour for the first time in my 18 year tenure in the job!", Dave Griffiths, editor of Vulcan News said, "We've some cracking articles and the quality of the colour is superb - not that we'd expect any different from T&C Printers who have been printing Vulcan News for well over ten years".
As you can see from the taster shown here, Vulcan News does indeed look far more vibrant and we hope that you enjoy reading it. Given that it has taken a good deal longer than anticipated to produce this issue, we are extending our magazine mailing to all members with a renewal date of 1st September 2009 and later to ensure that all members received the two magazines they were entitled to. We hope that this will act as an incentive to those due to renew in September, October, November and December, and haven't yet done so, to dig out their renewal form and continue to support us. You can of course renew on our website by going to renew.avrovulcan.com.
Should you not (yet) be a member of the Vulcan Restoration Trust, perhaps you could give yourself (and us) a Christmas present by joining. You will receive two issue of the fabulous all-colour Vulcan News together with free entrance to a majority of VRT events and regular newsletters. Plus you will be helping us to maintain XL426 as a Cold War icon. Go on, you know you want to!
It only remains for us to wish you and your families a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year from all of the VRT Team and we look forward to seeing you at our events in 2010!
