Steve Barnes 1963 - 2014

It is with great sadness that we have to announce that the VRT's Membership Secretary Steve Barnes died peacefully on 16th May 2014 after battling for some time with cancer. Steve has been a key element in the recent success of the Vulcan Restoration Trust, both as a superb Membership Secretary but also as an engineer and ambassador for the Trust, and as a friend. He faced his illness with typical dignity and courage and was keen to continue performing his role as Membership Secretary despite the enormous degree of physical discomfort he suffered sitting in front of a computer.
